We are currently looking to hire an Operations Manager for our Thrift Store.

Job Discription:
Manages day-to-day operations of retail resale shop including donation collection, processing and sales floor. Ensures all components are operating in an efficient and effective manner. Trains staff and volunteers. Supervises and assigns work to staff and volunteers. Oversees maintenance of the collection and processing area, sales floor, dressing rooms, rest rooms, offices and parking lot. Oversees and ensures opening and closing of store during scheduled business hours and schedules staff and volunteers for adequate store coverage. Monitors the flow of customers and ensures all customers receive fast efficient service. Maintains a clean, well organized, safe store environment by overseeing completion of daily quality control check lists by staff and volunteers. Oversees and implements precautionary measures to prevent potential safety hazards and theft. Responsible and accountable for completion of daily sales reports, bank deposits, and change orders for cash registers. Responsable and accountable for maintaining petty cash fund and keeping accurate records of expense and reimbursements. Responsible for scheduling and implementing pick up of large donations with company truck working with company warehouse/driver. Monitors cash flow in cash registers, and makes deposits to drop safe as required. Ensures quality customer service by ensuring customer orders and donations are processed efficiently and in an accurate, safe, courteous and timely manner. Oversees merchandising of inventory and seasonal displays for increased sales

Recruitment Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Retail sales management experience required; thrift store, consignment or apparel preferred. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required. Good computer skills helpful. Ability to work with all levels of staff, volunteers and the general public in a tactful and efficient manner. Drug Free and Possession of a valid drivers license.

Essential Job Functions:

Models and promotes RePets mission, vision and core values to ensure the highest level of customer service is being met.

Recruits, hires, and orients the most qualified applicants and volunteers to meet the store's needs.

Trains, coaches, and manages all associates in execution of daily responsibilities to maximize store sales.

Oversees the design and preparation of merchandise placement and displays.

Implements and maintains operating procedures accurately to attain maximum productivity and quality.

Oversees compliance of Store Associates and volunteers with established policies and procedures, such as safe keeping of Company funds and property, personnel practices, security, sales and record keeping procedures, and overall production and maintenance of the facility.

Resolves employees, volunteer, donor and customer opportunities that affect the store's service, efficiency, and productivity; seeks appropriate guidance and resources as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

Able to lift minimum of 50 pounds on a repeated basis.
Able to assemble and move racks and shelves for extended periods of time.

Able to carry items up & down stairs as needed.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Ability fo work irregular hours
Ability to problem solve and assemble furniture with out instruction manual

Other Competencies (skills, abilities, behavior)

Solid Knowledge of retail operations.
Ability to multi task.

Ability to assess situations and be able to jump into different job roles from accepting and picking up donations, to process and pricing donations, merchandising, selling items, operating cash register, good customer service.
