    About Us

Tracy Moser with her Pugs, IJ and Ivy                    Aunt Marsha with Ricky Bobby

RePets Animal Rescue was founded by Tracy Moser on October 5th, 2007 as a used pet store. But thats not when it all started.  Tracy has been rescuing stray and injured animals since she was a little girl. Even though her dream was to be a vet, rescuing animals seem to fulfill her dreams of helping and working with animals.

The idea of a used pets store came from volunteering at the local animal shelter since 1999 and seeing so many animals put down for lack of space. With her talents, abilitys and back ground in Retail, it only seem perfect to open a retail space so that shelter animals would recieve more exposure. From October 5, 2007 to October 5, 2011 RePets has rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed 4639 animals.

When you rescue on such a large scale, it can get very expensive.
We decided to open RePets Thrift Store in 2008 to help cover some of the animals expenses. Thanks to many wonderful donors and shoppers, this store was successful from the first day it opened. HOWEVER,  Its been my experience that anytime you try to do something big, your going to come across some hurdles that will slow you down. RePets has had our share of hurdles that has made for an emotional roller coaster ride. Anything from employees stealing, vandalism, lazy land lords and even  personal health issues took a toll on our rescue in 2009/2010. Even though these issues were successful in slowing us down, we were able to make some serious lemonade out of our sour situation. With hard work, strong will, back bone, determination, passion and support from an amazing Husband and a caring and Aunt, Tracy was able to pay off the $32,000.00 debit in just 6 months. Because of all our hard work and determination to meet our goals, with great pride we are now able to fund a long time dream of offering a spay~neuter service for the low income in and around our community.

Although the direction of RePets has changed, we feel that it is positive move forward and in the best interest of RePets, our community the shelter animals
that we so desperately wants to save.

Moving forward we plan to attack the over crowding problem in our
local animal shelters thru a Spay, Neuter & Adoption, Assistance Program. Educations is the key to changing the future.

Starting January 1st, 2012.
Our goal is to raise & spend
 $5000 per month
helping our community with our new RE~S.N.A.A. Program

Broken down is approximately
50 adoption sponsors and
80 Spay/Neuters per month!

We can not even calculate the number of lives this will save because we are reducing the amount of animals being born and brought to shelters causing euthanize due to over crowding. PLUS the animals that are already there will not only have lowered adoption fees, but have less competition giving them a better chance of getting adopted into a loving home quicker.

Some may wonder what happens to all the animals we once rescued?
Well we may still take a few at a time if we have the foster care to handle them.
But at this time we are focusing on getting this program off the ground and running strong because we believe the only way we are going to stop the suffering of
homeless animals is if we all spay/neuter/adopt.

RePets wants to make sure that spay/neuter
is an affordable option for every budget.

Please enjoy a few pictures of our work.. its not ofter you get a picture of Tracy... shes usually the one taking the pictures.
